About the Role:
We seek an experienced Lead Frontend Engineer to drive the architecture and delivery of our cloud-based SaaS applications designed for construction collaboration. This role involves setting technical direction, making strategic trade-offs, supporting teams through implementation, and maintaining hands-on involvement with the codebase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend applications.
• Define frontend boundaries, integration contracts, and reusable patterns to maintain scalable delivery standards.
• Document significant decisions, review frontend architectural decision records (ADRs), and evaluate trade-offs.
• Promote engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, and secure coding practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows to enhance analysis, prototyping, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Translate product and design intents into technically sound, design-system-aligned solutions.
• Mentor engineers, elevate the quality of technical discussions, and guide teams from broad requirements to deliverable solutions.
• Support and modernize existing applications, defining migration and deprecation paths as needed.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong focus on React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience in designing and evolving frontend architecture and guiding implementation across teams.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including defining standards and mentoring engineers.
• Comprehensive understanding of component architecture, state and data management, API integration, and maintainability.
• Experience with AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make concrete decisions from ambiguous scenarios.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub, CI/CD, cloud environments, Jira, Confluence, and modern engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with micro-frontends, domain-driven design, and backend-for-frontend patterns.
• Familiarity with design systems, Figma-to-code workflows, and cross-product frontend governance.
• Hands-on experience with frontend testing tools such as Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience in observability, production support, secure development, and frontend platform modernization.
