About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Database Architect to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in designing and optimizing databases, particularly within the banking or financial sector. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, performance tuning, and database management to support our cutting-edge financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architecture and data models based on business requirements.
• Utilize Oracle as the primary relational database skill and PostgreSQL/MongoDB as secondary database skills.
• Expertly manage SQL & PL/SQL, including logic implementation in stored procedures or functions.
• Enhance database performance through tuning and query optimization.
• Oversee data management, reconciliation, and storage, ensuring capacity planning and data lineage.
• Implement best practices for on-premise private cloud deployment models.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex database issues, ensuring data security and optimization.
• Collaborate with team members to develop high-performance database functionalities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and develop new functionalities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the IT field, with at least 5 years in a Data Architect role.
• At least 5 years of experience in the banking or financial sector.
• Proficiency in Oracle and secondary database skills such as PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
• Strong expertise in SQL & PL/SQL, database performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Ability to design logical and physical aspects of databases with a focus on data normalization/denormalization.
• Knowledge of data management, reconciliation, storage, and lineage using various tools.
• Understanding of on-premise private cloud deployment models.
• Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot database issues.
